Pessimists tend to be ready for the worst, but fail to appreciate the good when it does come. Expecting the worst can also get a person down.
Optimism wins, but too much optimism can leave you unprepared for reality, which is of course total shit.

No it's not. Seriously, there are lots of differences. Emo's are bad guys who are simply depressed, while Pessimist's are guys who just get ready for the worst of worst.
Like 2012: Optimists think it'll be a normal year, but Pessimists actually consider annihilation. Pessimists are much more realistic then Optimists.
