On the 3rd of August, Argonath lost one of their owners and developers. I would have closed down the servers in response, if it was not for Gandalf stopping me. Not because he felt at the time happy or that the players who caused this deserved to continue. But because we do not want to repeat and run around in circles.
We are considering options to cut costs as one of the supporters will contribute less, Also we plan that the funds to run the community should not rely on the owners alone, but it should become self-supporting.
With our player base this should be possible.
Over the next days Gandalf will discuss with the developers, and after that plans will be revealed.

Argonath stands for now, and will hopefully continue to stand.
But do not expect a fast return of Aragorn, if he will return at all.
The only way he might return is if he finds that the community of Argonath deserves to be fought for.
This is also the standard we set for you. Make us proud to be Argonathians.

Just take the time to talk with server owners.
We shouldn't rush with this case, as it's very important and about the Argonath future.

I think the biggest problem is the age of people in the community.  Some may not have a job, may not be able to snail mail donations, and can't put their money into 'virtual' accounts such as PayPal.

Believe me, if I had extra money and a way to send it, I would.
