Liberty City History

The Ancelotti Family was formed in 1950 by Don Giovanni Ancelotti, an Italian immigrant who had illegally immigrated to Liberty City during the Second World War. The Ancelotti had used Albanian thugs as there main weapon to start out, and after several years of luck and help from the Sindacco’s, the mafia had become one of the 5 families of the LC Commision. Being the weakest of the 5 families, The Ancelotti were prone to attacks from the likes of the Pegorino Family, and their hired muscle “The McReary Mob“. In 1983, with the help of the Sindacco family, The Ancelotti Family successfully took down the Pegorino family and took control over the families territory, increasing the Ancelotti’s influence throughout Liberty, and also the families status in the commission.  The Ancelotti continued to grow in power and influence untill in 1990 they were involved in a bloody power-struggle with the Triads for territory in Staunten Island, when Giovanni was assassinated in his Portland Mansion. The family began to fall apart and the remaining members fled to Vice City.

Vice City History

Giovanni’s nephew Romeo took on the role of rebuilding the families name, with the help of his brother Marco. They took over the Eighth Avenue Furies fallen empire and began to rebuild it in Ancelotti’s name, and before long they were the main power in Vice City. After 4 years in Vice City, Romeo and Marco had grasped Vice Cities drug underworld making a fortune, and wiping out all competition. Though, things had started to go wrong when Marco had been paid a substantial amount by the F.B.I to be a spy in the family, and eventually sold out Romeo resulting in several raids on the Ancelotti Family home and businesses. The VCPD and FBI siezed over $12.5 million worth of narcotics and an additional $5 million in paper money, earned from the sales of said narcotics.
Romeo located and murdered Marco, and fled to San Andreas with the remainder of his drug fortune. When he arrived in San Andreas, He was intercepted by Giovanni’s brother Mango, who he had agreed to let take on the role of Leader of the Ancelotti family, to again rebuild the families name. After the meeting with Mango, Romeo went into hiding for unknown reasons, Leaving his fortune in Mango Ancelotti’s control.
