I need HELP with my Computer!

I have Windows Vista,
My hardrive started playing up so I called my friend he said too re-install vista/re-boot via the Vista Home Premium CD-ROM.
I asked would I could my Apllications and files he said "yes". I trusted him and did it. The sad thing all my files and games went. GRand Theft Auto went! I had the Original but my Disk snapped. I am waiting for my friend too buy me another but it would take ages. I really want to play argonath!
Can some one help me too re-store my stuff!

 :ps: There are no system restore files I have checked.

Update the Graphic Drivers, and it should work again the Graphic Driver.

Moved to Hardware/Software Support.

Did you try looking around your hard drive to see if they're still there? If all you did was reinstall windows, the files for your programs and games should still be in Program Files or wherever you installed them.

Windows Update will always get the drivers you need..

in the start, type in Windows Update, and run it
