What to do.

Alright, story time. I'll try to make this as non-dramatic as I can and in as little words as possible.
I have a Geography assignment due tomorrow. I had to research an Environmental Interest Group and present a powerpoint on it.
Yesterday, I went to finish. I had one slide left.
The website was broken on the group I chose.
Twelve slides, only one left to do, and the website with the crucial information is down.

Now, the dilemma.
I can either bust my ass for the next hour doing another group, or I can tell the teacher the website's been down for some time, therefore I couldn't finish the last slide.
I'm leaning towards the latter, but there's the chance he won't beleive me. Although I have shown a number of other people in my class the web page and they have all confirmed that it's down, the teacher is a real ass and won't beleive it unless he sees it himself - and knowing my luck, the website will be back up in 12 hours when I need to present my speech.

What would you do?

Take a print screen of the page showing its not working, then add it in your last page of powerpoint, where that information should have been, then explain, why its there. And he got proof its not working!

I'd do the latter, because it's not your fault that the website went down.  If he doesn't believe you, you can take it to your head-master if necessary, as he would have more authority over your teacher.  Just provide as much proof as you can.  Plus, you said many of your friends have confirmed that the website is down, that's quite some solid proof.  You can also feel free to take a screenshot of the website being unavailable, print it out or put it onto your thumb drive, and show him that the website was/is temporarily unavailable.

There's quite a wide variety of ways you can come up/provide proof that the website is down.

I'll go and see him before class just to add that extra factor of "Fuck you i'm not lying just to not do my speech"
