[NOT SOLVED :(]Laptop lag

Hi everyone, hopefully some of you can help me out.

It's pretty simple, my laptop lags generally and I don't know whats causing it or how I can get rid of it, tried disk defrag, disk cleanup, but it didn't help. Lagging pretty much meaning when I scroll up and down in programs, in Firefox, IE, scrolling every 2-5 seconds it will lag jump up and down the page (if I scroll up and down constantly) clicking on different tabs takes longer than normal, and sometimes typing in the search box does the "lag type", as in freezes for a sec and types everything at once. Any help would be appreciated (lol it just lag typed)

Simply download the laptop's drivers from the HP website and install Vista Ultimate, I had the same problem, Vista SP2 sucks. Really..

Yes lol I did the same thing, exept you are lucky I had to search them for ages and collect them one by one.
Get them with your files in a DVD or something, and then buy Vista Ultimate (SP1) from some store.

Installing everything, long ass list. O.O Installed the graphics and audio update and I think something else, didn't help so far.

Dunno if it lags when it's hot/not hot and yes it does heat up quick and gets really hot.. and I have a like cool pad under it.

I have the same problem with mine. It becomes extremely hot within minutes, and is then virtually useless. I think the problem resides with the fan.
