I'm going to purchase the Logitech Driving Force GT wheel from Amazon in a couple of days time, it will cost me £71.99.

It has:

" Manufacturer's Description
The official wheel of Gran Turismo, the Logitech Driving Force GT is designed from the ground up to provide an exceptionally realistic Playstation3 racing experience. Its advanced forcefeedback technology recreates bumps, crashes and traction loss with jaw-dropping realism, while the 900- degree wheel rotation accurately replicates the steering dynamics of many real cars. A comfortable 33 cm (11 inch) rubber-overmould rim provides a slip-free grip;the 24-position real-time adjustment dial (a first on a force-feedback racing wheel) lets you fine-tune brake bias, traction control and other settings on the fly for unprecedented control over your car's performance characteristics;and the fullsize accelerator and brake pedals deliver instant response.

Control

24-position realtime adjustment dial: Fine-tune brake bias, Traction Control System (TCS), and other settings on the fly for unprecedented control over your car's performance.
900-degree wheel rotation: Go 2.5 times around lock to lock, just as you would behind the wheel of many real cars.
Force feedback technology: Feel every inch of the road for maximum control and the ultimate racing experience.
Gas and brake pedals: Get precise throttle and brake response with true-to-life pedals.
Sequential stick shift: Go through the gears for the ultimate in control

Comfort

Rubber-overmold rim: Enjoy a comfortable grip during intense races.
Solid, one-piece wheel construction: Drive with confidence knowing this rigid, sturdy wheel won’t squeak or flex during aggressive maneuvers.

Performance

Custom tuned for popular games: See and feel every bit of wheel movement reflected in-game, without dead zones or lag.
Ultra-precise optical encoding: Experience reliable and accurate handling race after race after race.

Box Contents
# Force-feedback racing wheel
# Accelerator and brake pedals
# Power supply "

I was wondering if anyone had this wheel or used it, and if you do, what is it like for you?

Steering wheels suck.

After a week of purchasing it, you're going to get sick of it.

I bought the above steering wheel racing pack for £150. After paying so much for a steering wheel (£150 - half the price of a PS3 games console), you would imagine it would be out of the world. No, not really. :D

I thought it would be awesome, but after a week I was extremely dissatisfied.

I can assure you, you will be feeling the same way I did after a while.

That looks like a PS2 steering wheel from the cable at the bottom, PS3 driving experience I can assure is much much more better, and there are many games to feast on. ;)

You rang?

On topic though, I can't ever imagine myself buying a wheel for a game. :/

I bought one once. Not those OMG 1337 PR0 stuff, but something that costed me like 55 dollars. It was nice to play games like Need for Speed, Live for Speed, GTA SA, etc.
It's a cool thing. The sad thing is that it only worked a few months. :~

I'd rather buy a joystick. And most likely without force feedback, because it's disturbing IMHO (and makes the controller cost a lot more).

But that's because I play quite a lot in various games, and a joystick is a more versatile controller than a steering wheel.

I got to agree the the Logitec G25 wheel is one of the best on the market. It has 3 stainless steel pedals with a fully wraped Wheel. Personally I use a Logitech Momo for all my racing simulations..

I heard that Logic3 wheels are really poor quality.
