As far i know L4D and MW2 is usig kinda like same MP way.

L4D uses the following:
Guys make lobby, get people in it. Then press "Start game". The lobby leader automaticly searches (The lobby leader doesn't do anything, everything is automated by computer scripts) a dedicated server with the following campaign to play on. Then, when they find it, he sends requests to other lobby players (Again, automated, and the players don't need to press anything) to join the following server, and they all get on it.
IF, and only IF, he doesn't find a suitable with ping and other requests, only THEN he hosts his own server, and it lags like hell.

Well... First of all, no dedicated servers sucks bad.. Second is Lack of Promod, which TOTALLY SUCKS..
Punkbuster moving to VAC => More hackers, no thx.
No Custom map, good, most of them are full of sh*t.
Server player limit 16 player, EXTREMELY GOOD, no-one can't play 10v10 games, it just sucks.

Only the SinglePlayer is interesting..
And Call of Duty series IS made for multiplayer.. And now some sh*tty consoles ruins even that, IMO consoles should be removed and more FPS to PC.

well there are rumors that pc version will get an update strictly for mp in about a month after release.

Maybe they just want to see how will it turn out, and if fals, update will bring old,proven metod of mp.
