Bad News or Good news

Well, this was unexpected...

last night at work I got a phone call from our deployment team at work.

I job I applied for 6 months ago has become vacant, and I have been asked as the 'reserve' choice if I can go at short notice.

This means double pay for me, which makes up for the fact I will be in a foreign country with almost no comms except those supplied for by work (and which I will be maintaining).

I have been told the job will last from 1 month to upto 6 months maximum depends on what happens.

I talked to Gandalf and he seems to understand.

I have rang the team and accepted and have been told to report to headquarters on Tuesday for a briefing, that means I have just over 24 hours before all starts moving, flight will be couple of days later.

Its going to hard to be away, but I hope to come back, just not sure when..

My father who also works for same organistion will feed data from my emails to me, so those of you that have it, can contact me that way but it may take days to get a reasponse.

This is a sad moment for the server but should help me in my future.
