Lack of roleplay

Thats called personal culture... i supose we all come here to have fun. If someone is stressed/angry, leave game/computer... take somethin to drink and relax, go to walk. We all start play from zero, i belive someone told you or others what to do. What is all about, how, where etc... Give chance to others!
About brackets... if you/your friends wana use brackets, go ahed... but dont leaern it new ones its NOT an RP rule, atleast not on Argonath.

Que is correct on the bracket thing honestly. I don't think Ive seen many people who don't use them.

As Gandalf said in another topic (which my sig has a link to), you do not need to use brackets.

A really good RPer would get the difference between RP-Related things and other things, even if they are all said in /l.

Brackets equals more RP? Forget it. They are only for people who lack the mental capacity to differentiate things of different caliber said in /l, /w, /s, and /m.


As for the lack of RP, this is not a strict RP Server, but it is not a no-RP Server as well. Even I sell pancakes on FBI Duty, for a change. Seeing a new player become happy when I hand him his pancakes (even though they only exist in /me and /em) is priceless.

People need to learn how to defend themselves instead of crying in /report like "defenseless babies"... Especially mafia roleplayers. Those people certainly walk around atleast with a melee weapon most of the time, so I don't see why are they so unable to defend themselves. Or maybe they can't be arsed to roleplay? So why some of those are moaning around? I don't understand.

New players who do such thing are simply attempting to roleplay - think of the small time guys being tough and messing around with the powerful ones - that's the thing new players imagine as a background for roleplaying in cases like this...

Think of the "good citizens"... That's what new players have in mind... Vice City's 50$ reward system? Vigilante missions? They take such stuff in mind.

Point is, Although not a strict-RP server it's nice for people to actually RP, Like yesterday evening , in SF , I was interviewing a criminal (forgot his name) and we were having a good time RP'ing an interview , etc etc , and in between wwe were pming each other, "your RP is good" , "not everyone RP's , but you do", it was great fun , then we RPed him going to jail etc , Great fun , only if everything was like that....

If you tell them the truth, you will tell them that you are using them because otherwise people with low IQ and no skills will not know when you are serious ?

But really, Gandalf. When you've played with (( )) for like two-three years, it's hard to quit. That's like in real life when you get drunk every weekend and then stop with it. It's not so easy, and it's probably more difficult without it than with it.

Listen up, Roleplay stands for fun, if you can't handle that part of roleplay and prefer everyone to use brackets, tell them that they can't do this or that, you should re-read the rules of Argonath.

There is no SUCH rule that dis-allows you to roleplay in your own way, even if that's driving around in a car.. What is wrong with that? Stop moaning and if you really think the server has lack of roleplay, try to imrpove it in your own way.
