People who think police roleplay is actually boring have never really tried it at all, what they did was nothing but Cops and Robbers.
it sometimes depends on the suspects too.
this is the police RP if the criminal just goes with the flow of the cop: i didnt do anything blabla
the cop: /mir
but if the criminal does something you wouldnt expect like this: he is on top of a roof, but he falls of, broken leg, cant walk.
that way you have to be imaginative.
but id rather RP different stuff, i just do what happens to me.
