It wouldn't be a driver issue if it's just the pedals that don't work which is exactly the case if I'm not mistaken. Okay so the pedals are connected to the steering wheel Via a cable right? If so, if it's been standing in one place for a whole century of course it's not going to work. You all know those mom's that tidy away everything and wind the cable around it... Check the cable for any visible damage from the outside and if you find any dents in the outer insulation - well there's your problem. What I'd suggest is rip the cable leading to the pedals' outer insulation where the dent/rip/damage of any sort is, trying not to damage the inner wires, OK? I'll attach a pic to show you what I mean. A nice clean cut in the middle with a very sharp knife - make sure it only goes through the outer insulation! If needed repeat a couple of times on various damage marks and look for wires that are broken inside. If needed strip their insulation too but just cut them through the middle and try to solder both ends together again. Cover with insulation tape once finished. If everything's done and it still doesn't work then I might not be able to help you.
