I remember playing the game 'Comet' as one of my first games, not sure what the first was

basically you are a 2d rocket shooting at asteroids to make them smaller and smaller until they blow up

Do text games count? I don't remember any of their names but they were cool! One of the first games I remember playing were the Lost Vikings series.
