Law enforcement groups : please read

The past months a large number of law enforcement groups have risen, some groups are formed a long time ago and are (re-) activated.

We currently have requests from many groups for getting law enforcement rights, to enhance their RP.
After careful consideration, we have decided that at this time we will not grant any new groups law enforcement rights other than the possibility to cooperate with the already present law enforcement. We will study the role of groups for RS5, and if useful will grant groups script rights fitting their role and operation.

We do request the current law enforcement to support the groups, within the rules.

A law enforcement group that has no ARPD rights should not be regarded as 'unofficial', however should also not be allowed to evade basic rules.

If anyone has questions on how to handle regarding law enforcement groups outside ARPD, please pose them here. They will be answered by the developers.

I can't see the use of an Army in Argonath. As far as I know, we are not at war with any other country? Police work is done by the police, if you want to be a cop, then be a cop, not a soldier. Soldiers are supposed to defend the country from threats outside the borders, but there are no threats outside the borders.

You kill people with no authority from the government, in my eyes you are merely just another criminal group.

That's like giving Corleone rights.

SWAT, FBI, and the rest of ARPD are involved in kidnappings. WHy would we need another group for it?

We don't need an army to handle kidnaps etc, we got cops that's returning x28 times anyway, so.
