Okay... the virus that attacked my PC @ late November REALLY screwed up the boot sector I c
So I installed Ubuntu 9.10 in one of my Hard Drives past month. I installed it aaaaaaaaalll just fine. It finished, and guess what... The bootloader doesn't show up!
I've checked the BIOS config and it was all fine.
It's probably because of what happened and its still happening.

Anyone got any idea?

Run -> msconfig. :)

1st - He is using Linux, not Windows :S
2nd - Read again, he cannot enter the OP system even!

Probably hard drive is not detectable for some reason...or BIOS has bugs.

Update BIOS.

Formate the HDD(s) which you used when you had the virus..

Re-Install Windows or Linux wateva..

Tell us if it's working or not.

Note that he is able to access Windows 7, so he may be able to edit the bootloader.

Updating the BIOS = Needs MS-DOS (as far as I know) and I can't flash it.
Formate the HDD(s): already done. when I got XP :drunk:
Reinstall Windows or Linux: Maybe ima try reinstall Ubuntu

Run -> msconfig. :)
Hurr, what does that do?

I've went to msconfig, boot section. Guess what? It didn't detect Ubuntu!
Let's think like a virus maker!!!
It was probably to attack the boot sector, so, even with multiple OSs installed, you would be forced to boot Windows. If the other OS wasn't boot-able, you have no chance than to to format the one with Windows, and probably the other OS's.
THEORY 1:
It could attack such way you even with format this would be irreversible unless you get another component (BIOS? I have no idea how it works.)

THEORY 2:
Wrongly installed

THEORY 3:
7 being an ass.

Windows bootloader is not supposed to detect Linux, because Windows was installed before Linux.
If you would have Linux before Windows, then Windows would have detected Linux.

Right now, I would recommend reinstalling Ubuntu fully again.

Did you check the boot.ini? I think it's like Janar says, since Linux is installed last (? correct), Linux isn't added to it.

How can I make 7 detect it?
