The view of chuck norris on Argonath RPG for the last two months

Well, as i promised to many, i hereby construct my theory and opinion on the life at Argonath RPG.
I will only talk about the SA:MP section as it is the only server which I participated very Activley and saw it from the front row. I would like to hear some feedback on whether or not you agree on my statements. I'm well aware of the fact there are alot of topics like these the day we are now. However I think everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion, if you express it on a well behave manor.

The points I will be talking about are:

 1. I will develop myself to the maximum of my potential in all ways.
 2. I will forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements.
 3. I will continually work at developing love, happiness and loyalty in my family and in my friends group.
 4. I will look for the good in all people and make them feel worthwhile.
 5. If I have nothing good to say about a person, I will say nothing.
 6. I will always be as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.
 7. I will maintain respect for those in authority and demonstrate this respect at all times.


This post is not pointed to anyone in specific.

Here we go...

1. I will develop myself to the maximum of my potential in all ways.

with this point, I would like to point out that everybody has it own potential. I've heard alot of people talking about the admins applications, and asking me 'would I be suited, Will they accept me'. Firstly i'd like to say that the admin job isn't the job most people of you picture. you have to be the same against everyone in every situation if possible. I foreonce  noticed this is very hard and challenging, especially when you guys host a DD (quite frustrating at periods). our admin chat gets flooded with reports, with around 40 percent of things We cannot do, for example 'please heal my car hp someone rammed me). Therefore I'd like you all to think about one thing and one thing only. Why do I ram someone to gain personal advantage, if I were a admin would I like all those reports? would I like all that 'OMGPLEASEHELPMEYOULAZYADMIN' talk?  I will discuss this point more detailed when someone requires me to.

 2. I will forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements.

This point will go about people who are revengekilling, hating someone because he once stole some weapons of you in a weapon trade or what so ever. Don't you guys think the world is full hate enough? Nowadays you can't even walk through you're front door before someone looks aggressive, shouts at you, ...

It's time people learn that Argonath RPG is a world, where you can let your steam off and forget Real life... Don't bring real life to Argonath. All the hating, flaming, ignoring, Swearing .. is it really necessary? we are playing a game on the internet, some of you forget this ...

 3. I will continually work at developing love, happiness and loyalty in my family and in my friends group.

Well I guess this point is one of the more easier points to understand by all. I noticed alot of people are actually very attached to the feeling of argonath, since they gain alot of friendship here. I actually kinda die a little inside when I notice some people laughing about it, saying it isn't possible. Guys seriously, most of us play this game and have friends, why not ALL be friends? just imagine everybody greeting you friendly on the mainchat? picture that feeling, would you like it? I bet you would ...

 4. I will look for the good in all people and make them feel worthwhile.

I'm not going to spread lies, Every person has his bad sides .. However, many of you fail to notice the good sides of them. you are all looking to hard on the negative sides and fail to see the good in people. good examples of this are 'omg i won't rp with you' 'omg you abused me once so your a abuser'. Seriously, I hope this will change because I don't know if I want to encounter such things and approving it.

 5. If I have nothing good to say about a person, I will say nothing.

Point is easy to understand, always try and be possitif about somebody. this point goes together with point four.

 6. I will always be as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.

a good example of this is the following: 'OMG U WON LOTTO, NOT FAIR !'. seriously you guys, money aint everything, can you have fun with money? sure you can, will you enjoy it? sure you will. But once your money is gone, since you spended it on guns, what will you do next? make fun? NO since you guys do not experienced fun without money.

 7. I will maintain respect for those in authority and demonstrate this respect at all times.

Sometimes, and now I talk in personal experience, when i'm all alone on the server operating as a admin when there are 80 other people online, I get this odd feeling. I usually receive tons of Private messages with questions and reports to solve. I don't mind answering/dealing with them, cause otherwise I wouldn't of become a admin, but why are you guys so mad at a admin if he doesn't answer within 5 seconds? do you actually think we are a jar filled with floating brains which can answer you in 5 seconds? those who think, clearely don't have it in them to become a admin.

Conclusion?

I noticed alot of good sides, but more negativism on the server. I am well aware this post most likely won't make a difference, as you might think i'm a big nagger or what so ever. However those who I touched, are a achievement. I hope now you guys understand, what its like to live in such a server and manage one. imagine you would live in a world like this, imagine Argonath RPG would be a real word. my guess? alot of you would pay to jump of a high tower.

Oh yeah and it's totaly normal to get thrown crap at when you are admin, because when admin is needed regarding a report, it usualy involve 1 complainer and 1 reported. It`s hard or almost impossible to please everyone in such situation.

I know noone cares to read my post but i still write.

Lately i have changed in real life and in game. If i say something or whine i try to drop this as fast i can.
I always say sorry, i hate how people hate eachother OOC, they wont forgive you what you have done in past, DM-d once, stole weapons etc. People dosnt care about new comers, they care mostly about money which is not most importnant. If i had like 10 millions i would do RP group with workers and pay them weekly a price. About newbies in server. What if you never played SA before and discover it first time in Argonath server. You dont know rules and other stuff. Regurals dosnt give a shit about newbies, some do but mostly they dont. If newbie comes and wants to RP with you, someone tells you. OMG this noob DM-d me before, dont RP with him he dosnt know how to RP. So what? Teach them than instead of that. If you someone makes mistake, example DMs you, explain them what he did wrong and be friendly. I killed ''player'' once for breaking in to my IC homie house, i shot him and he started disrespecting me since than. Now he always tries to kill me and if ask why you are doing this hes like, you are worthless. I even asked if we can forget this? He didnt answer. I would like to see players doing something together without any event or money prize. Sorry for bad english.

Those are the far away goals of Argonath which must be achieved....I see in your post that you strive for the biggest which is great
I think none of this will enroll in our little community as we do not have "required" members to achieve so ( I am not pointing fingers nor insulting collectivity )....I understand you as this was supposed to be an utopia,an escape from the reality,an illusion

I don`t proceed saying that I have the unbreakable truth. All I say is that by experience, even tho I would like to see things goes as mentionned in Chucky post, I consider a more rationnal approach of the question that leads me to say: How would it be possible?

From admin side there is improvement that can be done, we are human but we must show the example. This must be an extra motivation for us to be taken as example. We should also be more pleasant toward players on which we take actions when it is possible.

As for player side, I think it is up to players to tell how they can improve their relations with each others and with administration. The only kind of answers I disagree with are : nothing, bshit, admins pull up the crap because :
Nothing : Then you consider yourself sooo gooood.... If you say you have nothing to improve and you really think it, next time you get banned/warned/kicked/muted/ajailed, come back and correct your post.

Bshit: Ain`t no bshit, everyone must do his part.

Admins pull up the crap : If rules are crap to you, go find another server where you accept the rules or where there is no rules.

As for people who yell about actions .... Then ... How do you consider yourself and what kind of actions can YOU take to become a better Argonathian ?

In last weeks, I have becomed kind of careless. I dont know, it just hapens.
I say things, I dont mean and things, I know, I will be sorry for. This week I told someone to leave, becouse I hate him. After saying that, I dont even want to talk or play here so much anymore... I am trying to be as good, as I can. But I just fail more and more...
