Shotguns are for noobs!

Today I was playing in CoD:Modern Warfare 2 with the mode Sabotage.

I am on Level 28 or something, the other in my team also has a level around that number. The other team are people having level 70 levels. ofcourse I knew that our team never would win this, but never in the following way:

Almost all level 70 people had shotguns. I was on full health and running around a corner, I saw a enemy and I tried to kill him with my knife, but before the animation finished, I got killed by a way too overpowered shotgun.
The whole round, I got killed by shotguns, there were sometimes where I could pwn those noobs because they were bad at aim and takes long to reload, but still... it's so annoying when you get killed by a overpowered shotgun and the person who killed you says 'LOL', 'PWND', '0WND' or whatever.

Strangly, I never seen anyone raging about this. So, does anyone also has this problem?

So, please discuss about this! Should Game Developers or Server Owners remove the shotgun in video games? Or just make it more balanced like they do in Team Fortress 2?

Eh, shotguns are close ranged weapons, what do you expect?

Knive is a melee weapon, melee weapons tend to be slower whereas shooting a bullet is faster and well... if you shoot with a shotgun a lot of bullets come out ( or whatever you want to call it )

But as with middle ranged or anything higher, the other weapons are better.

Well, don't play in maps that are close-quarters and you'll be fine, unless the opponent uses machine pistols.
Or live with it and use shotty too lulz

Rangers are awsome only when you have Akimbo amount of times I've killed campers by jumping infront of them from roofs then killing them.  Shotguns aren't that bad well yeah they are I hate those 1922 Models or whatever they called and when you get people who akimbo with them your fucked as they have a decent range.

Akimbo models and rangers are for noobs, that is true.

Pisses off the moments when they kill you from 10 meters though, that's really overpowered, but it's random-happening.

As for other shotguns, they're for close quarter, means it's not noobish if you 1-shot someone....

When you start playing game, you would expect you can easily get a lot of exp, money and weapons, but as usual game designers make it opposite.

IMO You should be "bigger" to get heavy arms, not the other way.

AA12 is actually a good shotty and not very overpowered cuz you only have 2 full mags to use :IQ:  (unless you have Scavenger Pro)

None of my classes have shotgun, I just need my revolver my main classes are Famas Red Tiger Red Dot and FMJ with Bling Pro, Stopping Power Pro and Steady Aim Pro and M16 with basically the same and I pwn all lvl 70s..not hard.
