Jelle all I have to say is that I have been playing for loooong time here (I sorta belong to furniture here) .... and SAMP is totaly harmless, just like several other games. You must only be web-aware :
-Do not use same password for each programs/websites
-Do not reveal your password to anyone, even if this person claim to be administrator. Administration will never ask for your password.
-Do not sell your account
-Do not accept suspicious links. If you have to reach a webpage, check it through google.
-Never post your IP.
Argonath administration does not :
-Track player (unless severe offence committed)
-Reveal your ip. All ip are kept confidential
-Keep your ip unless you get banned. If you get banned, your IP is kept to unban you but is not displayed.
-Sell personnal information. No one has access to personnal player informations.
In other words, it is 100% safe to play SA:MP if you don't go random around.
As for virus, it never happened.
