Goodsprings is the town where you start your journey across the Post-Apocalyptic Nevada landscape. Goodsprings is actually a real town in Nevada, about 150 miles from Las Vegas.


McCarran Airport will serve as a base for the New California Republic


Vault 21 will be featured in New Vegas, and is rumored that Doctor Mitchell came from the vault and gives you his old Vault 21 jumpsuit along with a pipboy 3000 in the start of the game.

The Courier is more customizable than the Lone Wanderer from Fallout 3, and is more akin to the Chosen One and the Vault Dweller. It is possible to edit the Courier's age as well as their appearance and gender.
