Photoshop Advice wanted

Okay, I've been using Photoshop for around 2-3 years, But only for things like adding text, the basics. Now I've gotten more into it, I'm applying for a course soon in IT Media, which involves Graphic Designing, 3D Modelling, Game Engines etc. (Loads of other stuff too), Now I've had experience with pretty much all of these different areas, but Its the Graphic designing I want to focus on the most right now.
 Here's a link to a gallery of some work I've previously done, But I know some of its crap, so I want advice, decent tutorials, But nothing too difficult to read, (I'm Dyslexic, well, I've improved greatly).

Of course Tutorials, not only help you to realise what another person did, but you usually earn like some experience points from it, new effects, new manipulations, etc...
If you want my advise:
Run PS, get brushes loaded, let your hands and your brain work together, be creative, play arround with effects, try things that you dont know and learn, sometimes you can create something nobody ever did, in that level you will be able to publish your own tutotials Good luck!
