Cameras - Which is Argonath's policy in the decisions they make?

Hello, folks.

I'm not so much in contact with the community as I used, and would like, to, unfortunately. I am visiting Argonath (ingame) ~2 times per week, resulting in being almost unaware of what's going on.
Two days ago(?), I entered the Argonath and to my surprise I saw "cameras" there.
Honestly, they were one of a few ideas that surprised me, in a positive way, since I've been in Argonath. I was so intrigued that I was speeding around the cameras to get myself suspected. Succeeded to and I was more than happy to see that implemented in the server, despite the hate in /p.

Surprisingly the cameras were removed.

Today, I asked in /p why did they got removed. Someone quickly replied that they got removed because of the complaints - thus this I ask: since when does Argonath "eliminate" something when just a couple (or the majority) of members complaint about something?
I sincerely don't know which is the Argonath's policy. Plenty of people complained about something this and about something that and there's always a administrator or a scripter that comes and says: This or that will stay, moan all you want - topic closed.
Just wanted to express my view.

Being less time ingame gives me a different perspective of how the server is going, for those, who know who are they are - careful with the elitism, careful with the restrict "interest only" groups, say people who feel they are superior just because they hang out with person x or person y.
If they provoke you, ignore them and if they threat to ask person x to ban you - report them. Don't get banned just because your trying to prove your point, it's not worthy to brawl with people like that.
Ignore this last part - it's just my sigh of relief.

Not so much a script thing, as it was a thing done by coordination between the officers of arpd and the freecops, officers were stationed at known speeding areas and rped the part of a traffic cam and suspect for speeding, in turn a officer in a car nearby would respond and pull them over to fine, or begin a pursuit if they evaded.
im assuming reasons it stopped was because arpd has enough "hate" to handle without that.

It's important to know that these cameras were regular players here not connected to the script in any way. I assume these players got enough of the complaints and simply gave it up. I like the iniative that these players took, and I thank them for that.

 :ps: There's still a few of them hanging around now and then.

They didn't gave up if I am correct. They changed their name to LeatherCowboy1, LeatherCowboy2, etc and are now trying to suspect speeders while driving on their PD bikes, their "Steel horses". I think they changed because they were sick of RPing solid camera's which can't say anything in the main chat and can't interact with other people in a normal way.

Last time I saw a camera.. He was smoking weed..  :trust:

This is not good. Nobody should be forced to stop doing what they do just because people don't like their style.

Cops suspect people for speeding all of the time, just these guys were stationary. So what? They have the right to do that...

I got nothing else to say more than applauding those players initiative. Too bad they ended up with it.

It was something new on argonath.. that agitated the stagnant water. Honeslty i liked them.. they were quiet funny in their stupid way. [CAMERA says: UNKNOWN COMMAND] And they were usefull in the same time, because they decreased the speeding. From my point of view, thats usefull. 
I would like to see these guys back in their camera role.

I completely agree with Hank, they were something different and were something roleplay. If you don't like them, take a different route or slow the hell down.

^^ perhaps you should actually read the 1st post or the entire topic before you post..

I thought it was a good idea, and there is nothing stopping players from doing it again no one can stop how a player wants to play on SA:MP..it is after all just a game. Not serious buisness.. players complain for the most stupidist reasons, you see a stationary blue dot on your radar, DONT you stop speeding anyway? and if suspected just continue to drive fast and have fun evading the cops..god.

I have a pretty damn good idea who the camera's were, and who are now the leather cowboys are.

But id like an explenation to how there has been no unban appeal, but one of the camera's got banned for not answering admins instructions, and there are two cowboys now.
