Most of it's good. Only problem is for the people that spent lots on their cars. Spending 2 mil on a Sultan? Congratulations... And the fact cars disappear - Will,at least, car mods store?

There is both postive and negative comments here.

The current car system has a major flaw, its limited to a total of 2000 vehicles, no matter how many players are registered to Argonath.

This has led to many players asking admins... can you see how long x has been inactive so I can buy their car ...

This has also meant that the adding of new vehicles had to be managed, and balanced.

What this NEW system will do..
NEVER again will you worry about loosing a car if your inactive, it just will not spawn for others.

EVERY player can own at least one vehicle...

This adds future flexibility for gang ownership systems, which could NOT happen due to limited vehicle numbers (yes I not forgotton Panda !!).  Yes that bits got to be scripted but its more possible under the new system!

Giac, you worry about there not being many cars, well think of this fact... at the moment total number of vehicles is over 1100, just how many do 8 players use at a time ???
If you stuck in county side cos you crashed your vehicle.... learn to drive! and call taxi !
There will however be a better distribution, (in fact if every current vehicle spawned at the default then you would see the distribution is rather good, blame owners)


State vehicles already sit at 309, and this number is increasing and yes many will be in proper parking spaces.
This will actually CLEAN the streets up.

When you log off, not only will it remember YOUR postion, but the last position YOUR vehicles are in, this means that they WILL come back at last logged postion if you crash (unless in air then your screwed like currently!!, might auto issue a parachute!!!)

Yes there is risk of bugs and I will likely spend several hours on the release day fixing unforeseen bugs, but I will try to reduce the chance of bugs.

I will after this be looking things like car mods, but do not expect that soon, is likely to be many months away!!

Guys... think about this.

With access to 156 vehicles, imagine having RPs you've been wanting.. like Death Angels' Biker Gang with all those freeways you are able to acquire easily or several Stretch/ Sultans for Mafia Families, assorted low-rider vehicles for street gangs, county vehicles for Farmers... heavy duty vehicles for construction firms, military vehicles (apart from Hydra, Hunter, and Rhino Tank) for Army like USAA and Ministry of Good Intentions.

You just need to think outside the box. Why think about money when you can think about all those new roleplay possibilities that you've been waiting for?

Don't tell me this means hundreds of people will be able to buy NRG's and shitty bikes that are hopeless, unbalanced and make it unfair to anyone else who deals with them other than the driver...
We might as well resign the entire SAPD, if anyone can buy a motorbike, cos it is all people will buy and it is near impossible to take down a bike if you have any lag at all, which puts more than half the server out of taking out bikes...

@ CBFasi, there is extremely rarely anyone who goes on taxi duty. And accidents happen in regards to crashing your car in the countryside, for example, a DPD member could be practising his hectic stunts and not hit the jump properly...too bad for him, he's walking to DPD!!!
I don't even get the point in having more than one car...how many you'll drive at once? Seems pointless for anything other than bragging rights.

This is insane, i think you should remove the whole system, no more ownership... just stat cars! or you know what? a command like /spawn Infernus, maybe you should add some maps, stunts, some scripted missions maybe! and a teleportation command, why not? its quite the same.

I actually like this new system.
I had been playing in Argonath for over 1 Year, and all the hard earned money were given away to my friends. I never get a chance to own a sport car. I'm totally excited to finally be able to own my dream sport cars.
