Wanted this car for ages. This week I finally got to buy it. Loving it so far.

Just bought the brand new 2013 Dodge Charger SXT. And yes, I am fully responsible for the car. Parents did not put a cent toward this vehicle.

I also had it tinted yesterday. Will have new pictures uploaded soon.

GoPro on the dash...
Still don't fancy automatics tbh, it needs a real gearbox.

I love automatics, though American ones are not really valid.

Automatics are for those that don't comprehend the purpose of a clutch or a third pedal in a car.
If you want an automatic, go buy a scooter.

Most of top cars got automatic.. More technology, performances, fuel economy and confort. Obviously I'd never mount an automatic on a low-level car/little "sport" car. That wouldn't suit :P

More technology is not necessarily better.
Automatics don't generally perform better.
Automatics don't generally have better fuel economy, in fact most automatics are heavier on fuel.
And there's absolutely no difference in comfort between automatic and manual if you know how to work a clutch.

Facts (tested by myself/noted in tha book)

Automatic Opel Antara 2.0 CDTI Diesel engine: 1l on 10 km (1/10)

Manuel (same specs): 1l on 15KM

Yeah right.... And a Charger with a V6 without a manual gearbox is like driving a Ferrari with a 4 cilinder engine.

Ain't working.

A thing that Wash can't use right.......

Neither can I at the moment, still learning it.

True that.

Any engine with an automatic box is pointless.
And about the Ferrari part..

Right.

Automatics don't generally perform better.

Wrong. If the automatic trasmission is a good one (Stronic for example) performances will be different. Most of American cars have automatic transmission but this doesn't mean they are at a good level..

Automatics don't generally have better fuel economy, in fact most automatics are heavier on fuel.

Right, if the automatic has the same gear number of the manual one.. Having 1 or even 2 gears more helps a lot the fuel economy.

And there's absolutely no difference in comfort between automatic and manual if you know how to work a clutch.

Still.. automatic gives way better comfort than a manual one (also sounds better :))..

To start off, automatic cars sound like groaning horse shit.
Sure, there can be fast/sporty setup automatic boxes, but you will still never get the same driving ability out of an automatic as you will with a manual, let alone being unable to use a clutch, because they don't have one.
And the amount of gears doesn't matter at all, it's about the way the gearbox works, generally speaking automatics have longer ratio gears for less gear changing up and down constantly, with that comes higher fuel usage due to the cars staying in gears longer than would be necessary if it was a manual box with shorter ratios.
You will never get the same driving ability or joy from an automatic as you will from a manual, you have no control over the car with an automatic either.

And I will say again, an automatic sounds like garbage.
