Automatic is gay and personally I would say its for people with no ability to use 3 pedals. Driving a manual one is no problem, took me 5 minutes to learn, 10 more to make me feel good about it, now I dont even think about using the clutch or gearing myself. I've never driven an automatic, just because nobody I know owns one, because of obvious reasons.

You can't argue in the difference between automatic and manual, if your mechanically minded, you would actually know that automatic is shit compared to manual. Automatic gives out less power than manual, and the fuel economy sucks ass, its way heavier than a manual.

No, automatic does not at all sound better than manual, it sounds shit.

Automatic is much heavier on fuel.

Clearly you need to drive a manual more often, or learn how to, much better than an automatic, unless your just plain lazy to work one extra pedal and a few gears.

I've already said that with the same number of gears the fuel economy is lower.

Besides automatic cars keep accelerating even while changing gear..


Try to change faster with a manual.

Fuel economy being lower is a blatant lie, and even if the number of gears are the same, the gearing ratios differ.
Who cares if automatics keep accelerating as you see, besides they don't accelerate while changing gears, it takes time for the torque converter gears to change, but they have set it up with a waste of money system just so the gear changes are in the blink of an eye, to make you think it doesn't stop accelerating, you still can't drive an automatic like you can a manual car.
This is the point I am trying to get across.

And sure, tell me when you will be able to afford a scuderia.

Get in a manual and learn how to drive one.

You get more mileage out of manual than an automatic in general. Including 'modern' technology.

Manual gives you a lot more control over the car, especially when it comes to going off road with a 4x4.
