In general, american cars are built heavy with large inefficient engines as standard.
There's the downside of just throwing some pieces together and running it instead of fine tuning/tweaking like other companies do for fuel economy and power.

American cars are built to deliver maximum power, i.e. muscle cars like Charger, Ford GT, Camaro etc.

European cars are built to deliver style and sophistication.

Every thing else is included in other cars.

No no, the old american cars were build out of chalk and stone, their old 350ci V8 engines only used to put out what German engineers used to get out of 6 cylinder motors.
They used to be highly inefficient and overly heavy. Nowadays they have changed from that thanks to adopted German and Jap engineering techniques and modifications like Vtec and so on.

Those engines are way less advanced than European ones. One of the most famous American cars, the Ford Crown Victoria, uses, in most of its models, a petrol 4.7 V8 to get around 250-300hp. In Europe a 3.0 V6 gasoline has the same power.. A 4.5 V8 of a Ferrari 458 Italia has around 570hp..

European cars are built to deliver style and sophistication.

They are generally built with higher standards, right.

Looks like a hairdryer if you ask me, but as long as you like it.

A friend of mine tuned his Kreidler. He reached 150 KM/H on it. I'm keeping mine legal at around 50 though. Speed is unimportant to me; it's all about the feeling.

My family has 2 cars, A Saab 9-5 2002 Sedan 2.3 turbo 136kw, automatic tramission 0-100 7.7 seconds, which amazed me.I'm thinking that his has a chip tuning which adds 20-30 kw's depending how much the original turbo can withstand.

Second car is an Audi A4 2003 Univeral, 2.0E manual transmission 80 something KW's.It's a nice car for a youngster actually. But when were going somewhere we use the Saab 9-5 since it has more room than a 7 series BMW, not to mention the A4.

Pictures arent from the EXACT cars im talking about since the only good thing I have to take photos is the iPad, but I loaned it to my sister, will give pictures someday.
