I can recall Rock's scooter looked neglected and old. Now it looks in pristine condition! You probably spent so much money fixing it that you could of purchased a bigger/better scooter brand new.

Shitbrix time..

That's the day that I bought it, haha.. until now I've spent 1,900 Euros.. nearly 2k, however I didn't give the money all at once.. it was little by little over the last 6 months, so yea indeed if I had saved all that money I would have bought something better like an Yamaha Crypton X135 for example..

Restoring them takes a lot of time, experience and money, so you should always make sure they're worth it. Instant classics by Kreidler and Zundapp are worth it, because they don't lose any value. How much do you think you can get for that Yamaha, Alex?

could of purchased

I don't get this.

Right now, specific's model market value depends on the condition, first-second hand etc.. currently mine is third hand, it had 230.000km once I got it on my hands and currently has done only 1,200 with brand new engine.. they do not care for the engine but the 'hands' it changed.. so I'd say it can catch around 500Euros the best... So that's why I am not planning on selling it, since I repaired it for my self, now tweaking it to my standards.. ;p

Although there's not much "tweaking" capability on those tiny engines.

Thinking of getting a Yamaha myself in the future. Not a Crypton, though. :X

No, I'm more of an FS1 guy. ;)

Oh, so you do have taste after all! :D

Great bikes as well, but if you like stuff like that, then why didn't you restore one of those or similar models? Or do you really like the looks of the Crypton?

Well, as much as I like seeing them on street, does not mean that I like to ride them haha.. my father had simular bikes in the past... including an CB50 which I still love though was sold some years ago... the Honda C90 I have is waiting for restoration still.. aaaand this week, a 3rd fella gets to join the family! an old Yamaha TownMate T50, ages first permit back in 1987! :D the condition is pretty neat, everything is working and it looks very good for it's age.. I shall post pics within this or the next week :)

Is it leaking or were the wet spots already there before you parked it there?
