Technically its your parents car and an Automatic has less delay through each gear shift.  ;)
Power or biggest engine doesnt mean its the best.

Well, I was going to Wales tonight and I ended up being towed back home by my dad in the Jag with a smug look on his face. In an over-enthusiastic sprint to 90mp/h I pressed the clutch for that very essential shift to 5th and found that it just wasn't there... Gear linkages went. Oh well... Shit happens I guess. It ruined a good night out though. Beat that new 1.8 Astra  ;)
BTW Rain I like your garage but the car of choice isn't very spectacular looking. I don't know about performance but looks like an old Daewoo even though it's an Infinity.
EDIT: Just ordered a brand new gear linkage rod with new bushes and elbow joints. Should be at my doorstep by Friday, 'till then Peugeot will have a bit of a rest.

Ok, we're back up and running. However I do feel fuel consumption being a huge issue for me.. Maybe I should start running on ethanol? What do you think? Any suggestions?

Grr, ethanol heats up the engine more quickly. I almost lost a head gasket  :(

I bought a moped yesterday. Honda MT5. It works perfectly and all, but it needs a bit of exterior work. Rust, the paint, a few scratches, dents and the seat cover.

Not good pictures, but I've been using it a lot so I haven't taken any pictures today. I will soon.

Nothing, it's what the driver prefers, hes just trying to show off I think, but yeah, it's what the driver prefers, like I prefer a Standard when lets say alot of people I know prefer an Automatic, both having their pros and cons, depends what you are going to use the car for, if you are towing, a standard would be best, if you need to zip around town or  a farm or something, some people would use prefer an automatic, but yeah, it all depends on the driver and what you are using the vehicle for.

Exactry mann

If automatic transmissions were crap we wouldn't use it, right? Citybuses, postcars, Nissan Cefiros man... Manual is a bit tiring if you have to gear up and down over 9000 times per day

Motioning my arm from first to second gear on my old Lada felt like... it felt awesome - like a bolt action rifle. Most epic thing in the world, so enjoyable. And also if you like total control over the vehicle you can't do with an Auto/Semi-auto. It just isn't the same.

Yeah... After 20 years as a inner-major-city bus driver you wouldn't have liked it as much
