Sound card problem. Help!

Hello everyone. i got a problem with my sound card or sumthing because i cant hear the sounds. If i use headphones or speakers then there is just no sound at all!! When i go start menu - run - dxdiag then it says i have no sound device installed. And im fking pissed about it! If anyone can help please do it

Hmm, the sound card drivers must not be installed in this case, did you install your sound card's drivers ?

Hmm, the sound card drivers must not be installed in this case, did you install your sound card's drivers ?
i had em long time ago. But the problem started when my family was cleaning house. The pc was disconnected from everywhere for atleast 3-4 hours. And i activated the pc then i heard no windows dadadada came.I went playing Test Drive Unlimited and my car didnt make any sounds so i knew its sound card.

Erm. Go to Control Panel > Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game controllers or whatever.

If you had any CD/DVDs with your computer when you bought it, try installing drivers.
I have had the same problem, my solution was that I plugged speakers out and then plugged in back and it helped.

If you had any CD/DVDs with your computer when you bought it, try installing drivers.
I have had the same problem, my solution was that I plugged speakers out and then plugged in back and it helped.
I had 2 Cds with it. One for motherboard drivers (whatever :lol: ) and one for video/sound drivers. I installed the sound ones but its still fked up. I'l try the plug-in-out thing.

EDIT: Mkay. The dxdiag shows the card information (it find it! :cool:) BUT! Still no sound! im going crazy!

Volume level?
Check Master Volume and Wave from Volume Control(double click on volume icon in right-down corner)

since you found your card information then google is your friend? download drivers for it...

( i have a SB live card and the latest drivers are from year 2001 -_- ) have to only use Basic Hardware acceleration on my computer... and i even have a amplifier connected to my computer. lol with a 10 inch subwoofer and 2 large JBL speakers :P )

Try other slots, if you have any.

Its fixed. (Sound card was burned  :eek: my dad bought new one and replaced it) You may lock this topic
