What i always thought would be a great setting for a GTA game would be Detroit. Alot of history that could be used, gang crime, riots, depression etc. AND its on the boarder with Canada. Making part of the map a parody of canada would add some great humor to it AND smuggling missions etc across the river thats the boarder. Also the auto industry could show the origin of the on the GTA series famous car brands.

thats actually one of the rumored plans when they announced the expected release time for the game. I think that a large version of LA with more accurate proportions and areas would be amazing.

Michael "Mystic Meg" Pachter, the infamous Wedbush Morgan analyst, today predicted what most of us predicted two years ago - that the next Grand Theft Auto (GTA 5) will arrive in late 2011 or early 2012. "We fully expect the next instalment of Grand Theft Auto to be released by Q4:12 at the latest, as the company's contracts with the three employees most instrumental in the game's development [Les Benzies, Sam and Dan Houser] expire in January 2012," said Pachter. In 2009, Pachter predicted that development of the game was likely to be concluded in 2010.

I'm pretty excited for GTA V though I reckon they'll really improve the graphics engine and up the gameplay. Maybe fix up the driving in it ><

Re-make = Boring. Vice City comeback would be awesome though!

Thing is, the GTA Series has been done by Rockstar North for a while, and since Rockstar north is in the UK, it find that the British and Scottish can parody American Culture a lot better then a American Studio like Rockstar San Diego. Having them do London would be a cool idea but if they can pull the humor off in a way that the international community can understand, it would be a good idea.

I prefer London. That way more gang activity, gun crimes, knife crimes. Typical GTA environment.
