Game resolution probs.

So maybe this is in the wrong section? :l If so, my apologies...
long story (meh meh bla bla) so, new VGA Cable, from eBay (get what you pay for huh) can't choose my usual 1440 resolution for my 19" TV monitor so its on a 1280x1024 which is slightly blurry... when I open GTA SA the current resolution is not supported, therefore it leaves me with a nice black screen and a 'Not Supported' message on my monitor... so uhmm I need to change the game resolution but i cant as I cant see what Im doing :\
Any help?  :conf:

"My Documents/GTA User Files" - Delete everything inside this folder.

Actually, not everything.. Deleting "gta_sa.set" does reset resolution, so game opens with default desktop's resolution or.. 800 x 600 @ 16.

Regedit would work to fix it? (( Don't have GTA SA atm ))
