AMD Processor question..

Athlon II X4 620 2.6ghz and
AMD ATHLON II X3 440 3G 1.5MB 95W AM3
and AMD ATHLON II X2 250 AM3 3ghz
Are they shit? Or are they okay. And.. a quad core cpu is always better than 3 or 2 no matter what the quad cores clock rate? since a dual core 3ghz cpu = 6ghz . so even a 2ghz quad core is better?
so is this right?
2,4ghz dual core > 3ghz Single core
2ghz Quad Core > 2,4ghz Dual core?
explain please
