This has been postponed for a rather long time, but it is finally done. The San Fierro Driving School, after operating for so many years since 2010 (up to November 2021, as there have been no students since then) is officially closed at this point. The community has been inactive for far too long, and the driving school is no longer needed.
Thank you all who have contributed along the years to this wonderful project, especially in the RS5 and RS6 eras, when many times our competitors could not be helpful enough, and we had to step in and aid the newbies. Unfortunately, after a really long time, this has to come to an end.
I, Gruia Collin, first joined this group in October 2013, and first became part of management in April 2014. I left in August 2018, but returned in August 2020. I was involved a lot over the years in helping students, guiding instructors and helping keep our forums (that have been down for almost two years now) up to date and organized. This group became my identity and I was dedicated to maintaining it for years. There were good periods with well over ten instructors, there were bad periods with merely one instructor, but through all of them I did my best to prevail.
With permission from Roman Collin, the founder, I hereby declare this long-running group closed for good. Maybe I could wrap up stuff properly on the SFDS forums as well if they are ever brought back to life. Farewell! Drive safely out there! Funnily enough, I got my driver's license in real life in August 2020, a short time before my return, but I knew about driving thanks to my SFDS experience.
Yours faithfully,
Gruia Collin
Former President & CEO of the San Fierro Driving School
