Well.. had to remove three ticks from my dog's eyelid today. Took me around half an hour as I took extra care. If any of you wonder how it's done, get nail varnish remover on a cotton ball and carefuly swab the tick/s and area around it/them.  This way somehow makes the tick want to go away, irritates it or something, I'm not really sure about what exactly happens but it makes it 10 times easier to remove it without leaving the head inside. Here's a pic to show you the nastyness of this place. Always take extra care when its near your pets' eye with the nail varnish remover/polish or alcohol can potentially blind the poor thing.

Now I truly believe that cats have 9 lives.
More then a week ago my cat Sonya , managed to fall down from the balcony from the fifth floor . It happened about 11pm after I came home sat down at the PC and opened the window in the balcony wide open because it was really hot home. After about 10 minutes I suddenly heard a short scratching noise on the metal edge outside the balcony and screaming meow , suddenly she fell to the ground , luckuly on the grass. Right after that I rushed down the stairs , found her sitting against the wall with some bleeding coming out of her nose and mouth.
Quickly we took her in the car and driven all across the city to the vet's house . After some observation by the vet he said that she had a brain shock, hit kidneys and a scar on the top of her jaw ( why she had the bleeding ) , no bones were broken , no other organs were damaged. He gave her some shocks and in about 30mins we with her were off home. The first night she was really ill from the medicine and barely moved. For the next few days she was taken to the vet a couple of times for treatment , day by day she had gotten better and after about 4 days she was fully recovered and energetic as usual  .

Never thought of her be stupid enough of falling down as that window was left opened million of times and nothing happened . No idea why she fell , was probably chasing after some flies as usual , saw a bird or was just curious to see whats outside  .

He is about 6 or 7 years old now, and he has distinctive 'Packard Bell' markings on his back. And a mysterious red glow if you move him around!
