So, you people think it is wrong to give shoutouts and show respect. So what if you don't consider most of the people on his list as leet? He's simply showcasing people that he personally thinks are great to have in this community, people that help him, people that hang out with him, people he considers friends. Think for a second, if you made a topic like this one - you would be subjective as much as he is now, putting all your best friends and trying to sort them in some priority. Being leet goes far beyond making shenanigans in the chat or trying to sound cool by pranking people or showing of your skills. Be a friend, not someone that makes fun of people who know what being a friend is. Maybe that's why you aren't on the list.
