So, you've just insulted my profession, the lads from my Battalion who are currently serving out in Afghanistan over christmas, the people who have died for their country whilst doing their duty. TA are soldiers, their skills build up over time, they touch and go with multiple professions before being Deployed to a war-zone, next year I am training to be an Army Commando - the most you'll ever achieve is sitting on your fat useless ass. JESUS Christ, sorry people - but do NOT insult soldiers, I don't find it amusing being good freinds with lots of them.


( Anto, I put it like that to shield myself from the rain - it was pouring on and off in heavy amounts, it's usually just above my ear, but good eye for spotting that. ;-) )

Yeh sure it is a joke, but i see where james is coming from, just today i heard on the news a british solider died out if afganistan. To be honest i don't see any of you doing what james is doing. Some may think "well i dont see you doing it aswell jonny" yeh ur right im not doing it, i dont have the balls to it, and hats off the the 1000's of soliders fighting and putting their life on the line.

Yeah I have a good eye for those things james, my brother is a Lt. Im applying for a cadetship in the Irish Army soon and I do have a lot of respect for soldiers of any army, i don't like to get into the politics of it all, dont want to start an arguement, but I don't agree with the British army and their occupation of Iraq and Afghanastan, as i also don't agree with their occupation of my own country, and countless others. Even though it wasn't the army's decision but the government's, soldiers kill innocent people over there every day, and me or you never see it on the news, but when two young lads die, its all over BBC, CNN and god knows what else...

Anyway, yeah, the beret, a lot of people have it different ways, but some people should really be slapped for the way they shape theirs... you usually see pics of fat sergeants or w/e with berets like pasties  it looks minging..

(( btw, relax, and I don't know you, but my brother would probably put you on your back if you tried to punch him..))
