I know how you feel, webster. My hair used to be twice as long as yours (NO f**kING JOKE).
Cutting it off was a hard decision, but it worked in the long run. More people talked to me (especially girls :o), I got good ol' compliments, and I got more good friends (before you go on about people judging by looks, it's human nature to do that, so don't do that BS with 'ZOMG BAD PERSON JUDGE BY BOOK COVER'). I felt plenty more confident about myself, because people stopped downing me about my hair and how I looked like a girl. Of course, this means that girls can't run their fingers through my soft hair, which always gets me going :P. I grew it out medium (like it is today), because something as simple as your hair can tell something about you, and it was easily manageable without making me look like a girl (and girls now run their fingers through my hair again!!!
). People call my type of hair "surfer hair", and we all know that surfers are chilled, laid back people.
Anyway, if you don't want to make that "big" decision to cut your hair, you can always make yourself look more like a manly figure (not calling you a woman figure D:). Things like a broad upper body and larger muscles seem to visually separate the men from the women. Working out could help you accomplish those.
Of course, you could always wait for a while, and wait for some facial hair to come in.
I cut my hair at age 12. It was a big decision, but I'm proud of my choice.

If you're wondering what I was doing, I was pondering the course of events that'll happen throughout the school year this year. And I gotta say, it's a lot better than I had expected.
