Argonath - The future

I have opened this topic because of many reasons.
In my 2 years of being here I have seen Argonath (SA:MP) changing from a server to have fun with friends, to a server where stats and status matter the most.

People used to be playing for fun, to have a good time, and to go sleep with a good feeling, because he/she has had fun with other players.
Today people play for the money, the fame and a high status in the community.
Constantly I see people AFK'ing instead of /q'ing to avoid not missing any paydays or lotto's.

Are people this shallow? Yes, the people have turned this shallow in order to be better than everyone else in the server.
Even hacks are used to be better than someone else.

Argonath used to be a place where new players were embraced, and were helped by every single player online.
Today I see those new players flaming, deatmatching and what not, because they are not being helped!

People are constantly complaining on how freecops mess everything up in the server, and constantly abuse everyone within their range. New players who want to play cops are not being helped by anyone in the server, some exceptions here and there.. Instead of telling them to chase and shoot the orange dots, why not help them understand the job better?
This counts for all scripted jobs..

But it is not only this that seems to bother me, people are moaning on how they are not being helped by the admins. And on how they do not respond to their reports. Unfortunatly, I have to admit, this is true. A lot of reports are not responded to, not even a response from any admin that they are looking into it.

However, the server should not rely on reports and admins. It should rely on it's players.

My question is, how can we make Argonath back into a fun server, instead of a server used for stats and money?
Everyone may leave his or her opinion on what is wrong and what could be improved, and how we can improve it.

The only advice I would give is to play in your own way, and don't let anyone stop or hold you back.

Moaning is silly, imo.
The best part of being a part of the SAPD is the moaners, it's always fun to see moaners getting the punishment they deserve.

Anyhow, I disagree in some of your statements. As you state all players are after stats and achievements...

That is exactly the attitude I, myself was looking for.
Unfortunatly, most players seem to care more about their money and stats than they do for good roleplay and fun.

I constantly get asked: 'How did you get so much money?' 'How do you gain money fast?' 'Please, gimme money!!'
The answer is simple, I got lucky.
How to get money fast? Become a decent roleplayer.
And last.. no.

Oh, and I would like not to call me a 'hypocrite' because I do have a lot of money. And that I can talk easy about money.. You do not need more than a couple thousand to do various roleplays.

If you're poor, and then I mean genuinly poor, no car, no house and business and hardly no money. Then play a hobo.
Your roleplay should not be affected on how much money you have, or how much drugs, weapons, cars, houses, etc.

Let me make this clear, I am not in any form moaning. I have seen other players create 'moan' topics about a varity of things, things I really want to change, or improve.

The best part of the SAPD shouldn't be laughing at moaners, if you ask me. It should be about roleplay and fun.

If you would've spent your time on reading the first post, you would've noticed that I am looking for ideas on how to improve things in-game. Idea's, opinions not other moans.

I know you're not pointing this towards me, but I will respond to it 
This is an attempt to get those 'followers' to see who care, and to see who does not care.

Argonath is now a server where people work to buy things so that they can boast, and not for RPing.

Roleplay is rare, nowadays roleplay is considered handing someone a speeding ticket or blowing an enemy away with a combat.
