Argonath - The future

Argonath is now a server where people work to buy things so that they can boast, and not for RPing.

Roleplay is rare, nowadays roleplay is considered handing someone a speeding ticket or blowing an enemy away with a combat.

Atleast someone is getting the point, my goal is to change that, and to learn people how to roleplay again.
And to show them that money isn't all on this server.

Any ideas on how to archieve that, are welcome.

Improve the system of Criminal factions, increase the strictness on Gangwars... ect.

Power is seen in how many guys you've got to kill the other team, It's TDM atm... with a little roleplay on the side for good measure.

If you wana talk about moaners and shit, you can sit infront of your computer whole day.. and make countless topics. If you want to have change, have fun in the game for 1-2 hours.. and show to others, Yes ArgonathRPG is still fun as it was in the begining.

If it was up to me, I would change 3 things:


1: "you can not force RP" - cancel this rule, since this is Argonath RPG, you suppose to RP. If you dont want to RP and just want to chat with friends go on msn or forum.

2: put admin(s) in all areas. For example in criminal groups. Is there a single admin in Stracci? Araatus? Ancelotti? Gvardia? and those groups combined together make up 50-60% of all players on server. This means that 50-60% of server is not being watched by admins and moderators.

3: When there are over 80 players on server, disable /p

I agree in this. If you don't want to roleplay, you should /q and log off.

Uhm, so you want an administrator in each group?
I really don't support this, as there is many groups at the moment, and the amount of administrators wouldn't be able to control.

Either be strict about /p chat ( Instant punishment for insults and calling people/groupd Dmers, rulebreaker, hackers, or just simple moaning for losing his guns after relog)  or add a function that players can disable /p when they want to.

Puting a command /pchat off, wouldn't make us "srsbizninsrpstrictrp", cause we would still be an open community, I myself like to have public chat, and I would have it on in 50 percent of time, but the other 50 percent when I really really really , don't need it, and want to concentrate fully on my role play, I would have turn it off.

Also after relog/joining the server, the /p would be auto-on, same system like phone, cb, pm.

I think one of the biggest problems on the server at the moment is people crying and whining when they die, and then blaming other people for DM, when it's not always DM - this is of course directed towards ARPD and criminal groups.

Instead of when reaching the end of a shootout, for example, having a good attitude, and retrospectively accepting that you had some fun, people just bitch like hell... it really ruins everything.

Having said that though, I don't think the rules of engagement and such are perfectly clear - at least not for me - especially in areas such as cophunting; everyone has mixed opinions and understandings of the rules, and it just creates a huge mess, and in turn, arguments.

However, as Panda and others have said before:

Give infinite money to all. Really.

Also, bring back the MOLE missions, please. I mean, some revision can be done, and it could really work out well.
