Did Frank step down from his tasks in the A.R.U.N when he did step down as Community leader?

Frank Hawk is still a loyal and respected mentor within A.R.U.N. Regarding Dave, he has not been given any authority beyond A.R.U.N Consultant, which can be considered an A.R.U.N Advisor. His attempt at announcing that "the current ARUN staff and concepts are under review by myself" can be regarded as a misunderstanding.

For those interested in understanding the role of the consultant may read this:

The role of the consultant in the ARUN project is to look at the project at a bird's eye point of view and provide input into what can be improved. This encompasses providing feedback to community leadership and also to handle complaints in relations to the ARUN project. It can and may extend to facilitating communication also. Usually, a consultant is experienced in ARUN development which therefore =AV=Dave has been a natural choice in this area of importance.

The consultant role Dave is fulfilling does not sit in the management of ARUN - he is a separate entity who is not obligated to report to the ARUN leader. As a result, he has no rights to exercise within ARUN.  Consider the consultant a shadow of the ARUN project and to some point an advisor with experience. For formal guidance and hierarchy questions - the position of consultant will be in the same category as ARUN advisor reflecting the level of input required and expected.

In time, we will introduce another consultant dependent on experience and demand.

Below is a newly updated list of A.R.U.N members. As you can see, a new "foreshadowing" leader has been appointed. I hope this will settle some of the issues regarding myself.

Building on Earl's comments above, I've been asked to stay in ARUN for the meantime and fine tune any details in the near future.

As a result of group voting and acceptance - cDa will be operating as leader at 'arms length' and providing guidance where relevant.

We are continuing to calibrate the project which we foresee ready to release to the community within 3 weeks.

In respect to Dave, should he feel that ARUN would benefit from his experience - the position of consultant is still open.

I know, i had a convo with him and gandalf on msn, he didnt hack..

And yes, people got to earn their money on the server now!
