Would it be possible for something to be done about the fact that when unless you check every twenty seconds, "my messages" having a 1 beside it doesnt really grab your attention?
How about if the tab changes colour, or a box at the top saying "Alert: You have a new messahe" or something, theres been times where it has taken me days to notice I have a message.
