Freecops are way more roleplayble than properly FBI. Why? Because they're simply alot more of people with strong power of will.

I mean really....

I am sure he did looked further into this, but he can't just simply take this as a report and punish our members. Complaints (if this was an "official" complaint) on the Argonath main forums are more seen as moan and provoking since they poke other people to also go scream. We want to avoid that such situations are getting blown up. Report/complaints on the FBI forums are being reviewed very serious. There are various cases known which resulted in a punishment or even demotion to cadet or civilian.

You need to realize that we got really a lot rules and procedures. A lot are written and also a lot are not even written but told one on one. Our members got a great knowledge of those rules, but sometimes it is hard to follow them all at the same time, which can lead to misunderstandings or failing to follow the rules.

And yes, we do protect our members to a certain level. FBI is for a big part build on trust. We don't want to flame or accuse each other when there is not much information about the situations. Such things can only be solved with a (friendly) talk. We are always trying to investigating the situations and reviewing everything without hasty actions.


Personally I am always trying to role-play as much as is possible and reasonable. When it is not really needed, I will not shoot. I am getting sad of cops AND criminals who shoot directly and always need to show their gun. Most of the the times I see lack of role-play from both sides. I know, that is just unavoidable, but normally I am trying to work around it and try to provoke them to role-play.

Shooting on a standing still suspect is not disallowed, it only requires a direct threat from the suspect. When the suspect is aiming a gun while not shooting, he can be killed since it is a direct threat and a serious danger for the cops. If the suspect already killed a cop and is classified as very dangerous, he can expect being shot when standing still with a gun in his hands. The shot must only not be a shot to death, since the direct threat was not that high.

How nice of you to say that Fernando, Chase, Jaaskaa, Sammir, Trobby, myself, and all the other esteemed FBI members have roleplay skills equal to a third of that which the newbies possess.


Anyways, Chase pretty much posted almost everything I wanted to say. By the way, people shouldn't believe malarkey such as this,

since we have an Internal Affairs board (which is not just composed of Fernando, Chase, and Jaaskaa, but also of other personnel) whose goal it is to decide on complaints in a bias-free manner. If you have problems with an Agent, don't hesitate to post a complaint (assuming you're not going to post total BS, since we will dignify that with a forum ban instead of an actual answer).


Anyways, if the topic name is basically what the topic is about, then I can RP an FBI Agent, a freecop, an Archbishop, a pancake salesman, a food salesman, a salesman of almost anything else, a street hobo, and about anything under the sun as long as it does not violate Server and FBI rules.
