We regularly get admins who are at the end of their patience and wish to give up.
The reason ? The constant disrespect and arguing from players.
Our admins did not take the job because they like to hand out punishment or to settle personal scores.
They do the job because they want to protect the server and improve things.

Every admin is a human, and if you will provoke them long enough they will punish you faster and harder than others. Also we feel that new players are in need of more patience and less punishment as regulars for breaking the rules.  From the beginning the most active admins have gotten the most reports on them. Not because they are harsh or abusing, but because they attract the most attention.

Finally I would advise players to step in the shoes of their enemies. Do you like to be a criminal and feel cops are abusing you ? Try to be an honest cop for a while and see the other side.
Are you a cop who feels criminals are constantly moaning ? Be a criminal and see how cops look at you.

Remember that Argonath is a free RPG server that does not require you to stick to one character or idea. You can change your habits, accent, skin and play every moment you want to.

The problem is, Gandalf... Cops are afraid to roleplay with criminals and Criminals are afraid to roleplay with cops? Why? Moaning will occur...

Well, Cops and Criminals, why don't you guys try it? It's not that hard inter-acting with both sides. According to Frank, sportsmanship should be shown.

I try to roleplay with criminals at any given opportunity; I enjoy RPing with everyone and I make a point to ensure my RPs are quick, funny and interesting for all involved. Sometimes I might see a criminal walking around and I'll tell him to put his hands up - then tell him he can have a dance off with the cop I'm patrolling with and if he wins he gets unsuspected - it's quick, funny, interesting and offers them a chance of redemption.
You can not stereotype all cops, nor can you do the same for all criminals - but it's important that we try to work together to make Argonath a better place for both sides.

Judging is also the worst thing to do on Argonath. In SP, you can judge on a balla in gangster skin that he will attack you if you attack him, but that is a computer script, Argonath's players don't have scripts that are controlling them, they are human and all react in a different way.

These topics are great and all, and it really must be a good feeling to owners to see such commited players.

but lets face it, there are hundreds of these kind of topics, and there is still moan. People who posted that moaning or just being a plain jerk is bad, I see them do it in game.

You can not stereotype all cops, nor can you do the same for all criminals - but it's important that we try to work together to make Argonath a better place for both sides.

(lol at the dancing contest thing) - This is the kind of cops that should be on the streets as policemen. One that can admit cops ALSO are moaners, and moan just about, if not the same amount as criminals. sadly, believe it or not, there are cops (including some high ranked) who see it this way: criminal = bad person, he moan lots lots lots and mean all the time. Not giving names (you know who ya' are), but there is even evidence sitting on the ARPD forums, including and exact quote, ''Criminals are so used to moan now'' and not once stating about cops moaning, which is sad because we have good cops (like GiacJr) being stereotyped because of other cops who shoot first, then ask questions.

Can we please stop this "admin vs player" fights?

Players should shut up moaning towards admins, as they are putting their own free time into this server.
And some admins should really stop constantly going in defensive positions, you guys are doing your work and just continue the way you are heading and everything is fine, ignore those moaners and disrespecting people.
Always getting into an arguement to "defend" the admin team of those untrue facts is only creating a "player vs admin" fight, which we do not need.

Keep the distance between these two groups as close as possible for the most succesfull affect, instead of creating a gap between those two groups.


Players are here to follow the rules and have fun, admins are here to enforce the rules - failure to do so? Get punished and don't moan.
Do not want to be punished? Follow the rules.

You see, its quite funny to say this, but how do every single one of you react in the given moment. I don't know, maybe you don't know either.
That's the question. Everyone of you who have posted here, has his moan/objection phases that take time and place, we can call them LOL situations. You know why? Because we are humans, these problems are never going to solve. You know why there was less moan back in the old days. Its because there were lesser players then now. 100 people, 100 personalities. You simply cannot satisfy them all. Decency we have, and I'm talking about some fascinating Role players, cannot stand to that crowd. That's because we have fine programs such as TeaM school, LSDS, SFDS, CMB et cetera, and many groups are devoted to enhancing RP and /hduty. I believe you when you say that you are trying the best. Well apparently it isn't enough, and what is left where is nothing more to give.
