If everyone who complained about lack of RP on the server struggled to make a change by contributing to bring more RP to the server, then the server will be full of RP as it is of players.

I know that I am a moderator and that I am supposed to serve in ways as an example to other players, but if you will just come here to shit on us then I won't hesitate to tell you to get lost, GTFO and find some generic RP server where everyone is as "leet" as you. (emphasis on quotation marks)

Well, I don't like to be a downer, but, cooperation is something not usually seen. It is visible but lets not over exaggerate.
That STILL requires effort and motivation.If only they joined forces, it would be much simpler.

The term "Gvardia" just came to my mind here.

Inb4 massive arugment with many people flaming each other on a massive scale, Gvardia is not the only case of non-cooperation on the server (in this example, towards SAPD). There are many other players as well who will refuse to cooperate with other certain players and can write a book full of reasons that will only translate to "because I think they suck and I hate them".

That is one of our major problems, non-cooperation.

And the "zomg reallife roleplayers" are usually called the best roleplayers around by the regulars of this server. Take Julian, SeanC, Carlo Corleone, Jingle and so on for example.
Just because they might use brackets and things who aren't supported by Argonath itself, doesn't make them bad roleplayers.
Neither does it make a player not using it a bad one either.
Argonath has a very big and talanted group of people, but we have to step it up a little. Because right now, there are more about moaning and crying than ever before. It can be one of the reasons I barely play anymore. Everytime you log on, the player you play with for example cry about something, then the other guy starts, then the guy on the mainchat starts, then the whole server starts, then you log off because you think it's annoying as hell and didn't enjoy shit while you was online.

No, just no. Why?
The game concept is like a Rubik's cube. So it means we are "moved" by an external factor. Gvardia and SAPD cannot stand each other and Code "Gvardia" explains it for itself. Anger that you fell between them is a childish play, an over night plan to revenge. It worns of the next day. The last sentence, as I see is superficial and you expect that from a young player. Mafias and police force won't get along, and I mean never. its completely natural. Working for an external cause such as community improvement could motivate them to at least confront RPly.
But as usual I don't see an end to it or an answer.


Nexxt: I suggest a tempban for player, and if they don't cool down in the meanwhile, they aren't "fit" to play this game. Ban is not a good idea, because it will increase moaning on administration. You know that there are already a lot of moaners.

No need to script it. Just give a clear outline of how you see the role, how money should be earned, how to support the role RP, how to improve current problems of criminals.

Money should be earned by returning back the value of drug/weaponry businesses. Or maybe bodyguard companies? Different firms?
In these days RP is only supported by finances.Sad, but true. People cannot find any stable motivators, else then money. Someone mentions money giveaway (Small sums) and spam gets flooded in a blink of an eye, but enough with the sad statistic. I greet anyone who can find a way to support RP without involving any bribing or such.

To create value there must be supply and demand. For weaponry that is not a problem, however as we closed the script abuse surprisingly weapons dealing has gone out of business... even if there still is a way to charge less as Annumation, though at marginal profit.
Fur drugs the main problem is that the demand is low. A design to change this is in progress, as is the increase of risk which should accompany it.

Your view is correct, that actually for RP you do not need any money, except some minimal sums. The issue is that many people confuse RP with farming.

You took it literally, didn't you? I did not mean that mafias and cops should cooperate and stop fighting or that criminals should hold hands with cops and drink all night at the bar instead of doing cop and criminal work.

My point was that regardless of the kind of RP that is executed, if both sides do it properly rather than moan about the other, it will make the server a better environment. I dare you to prove me wrong.

As for the concept of external forces... it is not the only option, as improvement can also come from within. If players truly want to cooperate with each other BECAUSE they want to cooperate with each other and not just for the sake of an external mutual benefit, then they WILL cooperate with each other.

Listen, JDC. People show perspectives and thoughts through acts too. They don't need to say that quote of yours or anything similar to show their attitude towards a specific player.I meant young players as in experience not age.They just stick to the Veterans, nagging them and trying to RP with them while judging people by /whenmade command. My post clearly shows that everything they do should commence through RP. As better as possible( Mafia vs cops)
I agree with the last sentence and I read "I don't want to be a downer ....". I've seen drug implementation thread so we can have a wider selection of drugs. I hope this increases interest into these substances once again. Weaponry issue: I meant the street dealers, not Ammunations. People believe there is no profit in it, as well as growing marijuana.

"To create value, there must be supply and demand" - Well, I don't see demand anywhere. Value is there, as drugs are still respect around Argonath, and we have suppliers where you can get them. Mostly, mafia RPers as a big unbalance occurs because mafia sucked out the drug flow. They buy all the drugs, leaving none in the circulation, and as I stated above, people think the process of making your own stash is not worthy of the risk, because of some internal factors as police patrols.
