NFS:Hot Pursuit (the OLD one) is NFS3
NFS:HP2 was NFS6

NFS Hot Pursuit (the 2010 one)... dunno, I lost count at Shift/Nitro/World :redface: They just re-used the title "Hot Pursuit" but there is already a game with that name  :roll:

I have NFS: Hot Pursuit II, and I have always loved it.
This one in the series must be equally good, quality wise.

After playing it a couple of minutes, I can say this is a total bullshit game.

A damn rip off Burnout Paradise's engine.

What it has?

Crash camera from burnout
You need to actually drift to be able to steer a car, same style like burnout which is: A + Z then steer...

The controls are heavily fucked up

Your fingers will be on the left side of the keyboard to drive... Shift for Nitro and A/Z for Acceleration etc.. then On the arrows to change sirens, turn lights on and steer.. THEN the numpads to call for back-ups such as Stripes, Road Block... EMPs and Helicopter... You also can steer with Numpad 4 and 6 as long the numlock is off, but then you'd have to turn the numlock on to call any backup.

The game is nice... but the steering fucking faaaaails.

Also on graphic options, there are not many things you can do, only turn shadows... Resolution and some quality thing... I never got over 60FPS.. because it's automatically locked framerate...

Handling of the game SUCKS, Especially if you're taking a small cruise road, you can't steer the car.. because you don't have time to sleap-stream or Drift to make the car change direction.. Also if you fail to steer on a turn and you hit the edge of the road, your car will decrease much speed.

The nitro system is much like the burnout's for Criminals/Speeders.. you get more if you go on the opposite line or have near car-misses.. And you also gain if you drift..

Game is nice, but I'd not call it perfect.. due to it's sucky car handling.


As regarding the career, It's way too easy... You get your hands on every top car from like the 2nd or 4th mission? I was like on my 7th mission and I had gotten an Subaru STI....

No I mean, Without even playing a lot, you get your hands on top cars.. which are like 3 times faster than a criminal's car, allowing you to win the missions very very easy

As to your post above!

Yes, they focused it more towards people who enjoyed Need For Speed Most Wanted, back in the day, hense the game is highly rated in that sense for the graphics, it being in daylight, and it makes sense that you have a Porcshe Carrera GT that feels like its made of bananas! Curvy Steering and fun to eat! I better stop before I say any more!

There is though the graphics factor though, it should have all the latest goodies for 2010 such as Direct X 11 for all the hard core gamers out there. That must try the newest and are willing to spend the money on it, I'm sure they will be happy.

For me though, I'll probably wait 6 months, its not like they have 100 Different cars and are totally different with it **Cough Test Drive Unlimited 2 Cough** But hey its a driving game! YAY NFS! (I Still miss the idea they had in the older series, NFS 4 & 3 & 2 where you could actually have a look around the car real life and it talked you through the history of the make / model & brand )

I'll stick with NFS Shift for now, enjoyed NFS MW but NFS Shift has so much mileage in terms of racing, cars, online play, the handling are very close to simulation style which I enjoy.

Its a shame that so many new games are released that it really dosen't give you the chance to play other ones to a full extent

It's amazing,you know why?

• A huge selection of Cars for criminals and Cops
• Great graphics,nothing to complain
• A perfect Version 2 of the old Hot Pursuit parts
• It's better than burnout,because it includes a bit of Heroic Driving Engine

What's to complain here! <3
