Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japan, and the U.S. nuked Japan back. Both sides committed to terrorism. War or not, that was terrorism.

the silly part is when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor without knowing about nukes  :\

and then BAM ...  US nukes Japan... and hello cold war :3

January 2 - 2010: Somali man broke into Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard's home threatening to kill the man with an axe.
September 10 - 2010: In an incident suggested to be terror-related aimed at Danish newspaper Morgenavisen Jyllands-Posten's office in Aarhus, a man of Chechnyan origin allegedly caused an explosion in the basement of a Copenhagen hotel

in my eye's those insidents ain't terros, for me it's when alot of ppl die instead of what is described there, the last 1 was a failed attempt at doing so, and thanks for that happend. just my point of view on things :P

OT: I'd have to somewhat agree with the sentiments expressed earlier in the thread regarding the seperation between game and reality. By all means, hold an event somewhere in SA and declare it an event and that therefore those ruining it can be punished - however do not expect the entire server to not get suspected, as I seriously don't feel that it is going to happen.

This would be the best choice If you really want to have it as an "event".

And we do not try to be real life, as why would you ever play real life if you have one ? We play the GTA universe, and our players should try to live in the GTA world, not the real one.

That's literally what would happen. Idk where the hell people are getting the idea of this being a forced event. The Argonath Vision specifically prohibits such. The President wouldn't force people to go against something he helped design the community around...

The reason why 9/11 was the public face of "terrorism" because it was widely seen, widely felt, and created a massive ripple unlike any other attacks.

As we remember 9/11, we also remember the victims of each and every terrorist attacks: Madrid bombings, London, Moscow, etc. throughout the last half century..

Where must we go... we who wander this Wasteland in search of our better selves?

There aren't even words for the incredible cooperation and respect I've witnessed today. At exactly 8:46 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, the exact moment of the first attack on 9/11, users participated successfully in a 10 second moment of silence despite the server being chaotic. What amazed me even more was that just minutes after, an unorganized, incompletely planned idea for a memorial parade turned into a giant, highly successful event. ARPD, FBI, CIA, MGI, ARFD, EMS, ADF, USAA, UA, civilians, gang members, mafia members, admins, and various others, completely cooperating and being respectful despite an extremely bad server lag, united into a large line of over 100 players, parading in their vehicles, code 3 slowly for those that could, moving across all of Los Santos. Between my command, Morgan_Hudson's awesome leadership as the primary unit, and all the various, unasked for assistance from everyone blocking the roads for the parade's protection, I can't even begin to describe how impressed I am. This had to have been one of the most amazing RP's I've seen in Argonath's history, and it's been a very long time since I've seen something so large go over so well in any Argo server.

I want to extend a personal thank you to everyone involved, especially Morgan_Hudson for her unplanned, very-well driven leadership to making a path for over 100 users to follow as she went along, and another special extension of my gratitude to all the civilians and gang/mafia members who, completely on their own, joined in to honor this day without conflict. There may not have been a crime-free event today, but this is definitely better than anything I've seen in a long time. I'm very proud of everyone, and the cooperation is beyond words for how well it went. I have a few pics, and I will be posting this on the Argonath, ARPD, ARFD, and EMS forums, but anyone else who was there, please feel free to add in your comments and media.

Again, thank you all for the incredible memorial event today. Even from those of you not affected by 9/11 directly, or those not even from the United States, the respect given, and the cooperation upheld, was more than amazing. You have all done an excellent job. :)

Check out the radar, as well as the images. Due to lag, vehicles don't appear as well organized as they actually were. Overall everyone did an awesome job!:
