I do not see how this event  / day can promote friendship.

The whole inclusion of 9/11 will make arguments, racism and bad feelings.

"OMG MUSLIMS ARE TERRORIST"
"OMG US GOVERNMENT DID IT"
"OMG , HE SHOT ME,DON'T BAN ME"

As it happens the Islamic festival of Eid coincides with 9/11 bombings, and people are like "OH YA, YOU GUYS CELEBRATE WHILST YOU MUSLIMS KILLED 3000 INNOCENT AMERICANS" This is the common belif according to BBC in America, it is our fault that we are having to have this celebration on 9/11? we have fasted 1 month , everyday, to remember those less fortunate and to seek peace, spiritual guidance, understanding and etc, and want to celebrate our hard efforts with the paying of Fitrana - Islamic Taxes - Every Muslim must pay this Tax which goes to charitable areas, and other taxes etc etc - most would pay much more then the tiny 2% "Zaka" / annual tax that must be paid - the 2% of what you earn per year must go to charity.

I wanted to RP Armed Forces today but I cannot because I feel that I will be banned for it as many of our RP's include fighting terrorists / pirates and rebel etc.

Not everyone in this community wants to remember the idea of seeing those bodies drop out of the building... They where shocking.

Not everyone wants to make freinds by constantly seeing possible Muslim members of the community being upset feeling guilty because of this / upset due to continued Majority of Americans hating Islam - general view amongst mostly All Islamic countries and Muslims.


This community should not celebrate highly sensitive matters like this if it doesn't have agreement of everyone, and the matter does not ruin life for others.

With people making many shocking views and opinions on the speaker-box > politics and religion board, making this memorial thing will show a clear divide into Argonath regarding this matter.

Gandalf, please either attempt to involve everyone and not split up people, or cancel event / rename it, I've not seen any well wishing from any community leaders/  managers to any Muslim member of the community, there are more then a few, and they do not deserve happiness ? I wish lots of Christian members of the community a happy Christmas, and so does the management, it'd be nice to make people feel involved in the community regardless of there political views / opinions or race or religion, Eid is a 3 day thing and everyone knows in these tough times money is tight so people may not hold a big party or w.e, so they might as-well after a days partying low-key with close family and friends , go onto Argonath to have a bit of fun, I know I tried to do this.

Whilst I condemn the 9/11 attacks - it's clear there are many contrasting convictions on the subject. From what has been described, participation in this event is optional and not compulsory. Despite this people are being warned in the form of global messages not to become suspects or risk being banned. Whilst one sided, people who choose not to participate are being 'steered' towards an agreement for which they have not agreed to. Personally, I think the event has been misunderstood by moderators/admins in which its intended impact may have been foreseen. Subsequently, we have many confused and bewildered players seeking clarification around this event. From what I understand, it is at the discretion of the player whether they choose to participate or not.

Please clarify whether participation is optional or compulsory.

Generally speaking, please remember, whilst it's important to respect others views, we should not enforce our will / beliefs onto others despite our confidence of what we put our faith in is right. Argonath is a global community spanning many countries respresenting distinct traditions, cultures and views - healthy discussion and conflict is always to be expected and we should do our part in accommodating and facilitating such conversation. 

In all, I encourage all to participate in this event and keep crime to a absolute minimal. However I stress, that this process is a two way communication and there is a expectation of mutual understanding at all times.

I have adjust my take on this, things are more or less back to normal with admisna nd cops being advised to encourage peace.
I can already see that there are individuals that do not care.

I see this a a day to recognise and respect those that died those years ago, and also those that have died since as a 'follow up'  I do not care if its muslims christians or any of the other races and creeds, many have died as a result of what happened that day, even today people are being killed because of that day.

This shoud not be, what was done was bad and succeed in creating terror that still lives on years later, the world is suffering, Irag, Afganistan are the most notable and yes both sides, I do not see death as the way forward, we can live together and today on the server is supposed to be an attempt at that, and much like the real world there are many who do not want it for various reasons.

This mearly shows that if we cannot even get a small number of young players to play peacefully what in hells chance do we have in havign a world of peace, I see little chance.

Show us all that the future can be brighter, most players on this server are of an age that they have a chance to help with the worlds future and make a good impact for all.

Please help us do this, I am no longer asking for this to be forced, that is wrong, I am asking for YOUR help to do this.
