This happened to our country. I watched it live via TV and Internet.
This is a tragic accident. Remember, this can happen anywhere, so please don't blame the Filipinos, just in case.
The cause of Rolando Mendoza hijacking the bus was :

He wants to gain his 'Captain' rank back

Afterwards, he had NO PLAN to kill ANYONE.. but then
The precious SWAT arrested his brother (Gregorio Mendoza) without evidence, also with the reason 'Suspicious Spokesman' or as spoke properly, they thought Gregorio was helping Rolando, but no.. Gregorio was trying to stop Rolando from continuing his acts towards the situation.

Overall, the Hijacking Drama was harsh to see, because of the media and SWAT





The media was just doing their job, entertaining people and such.. Then again, they did a wrong move putting live on TV, without knowing Rolando was watching the TV in the bus.

SWAT (Also known as (S)orry, (W)e (A)ren't (T)rained) eventually, came to the scene and ACTED as Carpenters, breaking the windows with a shiny puny hammer, towards the bus. They took 3 hours being carpenters.
Here's the funny thing too, when they threw the teargas on the 1st attempt, they missed by an inch..lol...
and this too, they used a towtruck (instead of equipments) to open the bus' door.

Overall, here are the facts :

- SWAT is lacking of training and equipment
- SWAT was physically and mentally unprepared and dull during the situation happening
- The media has a very big mistake putting the hostage taking live on TV, with a bird's eye view for Rolando.

It was a disgrace to our country. It ruined our Country's reputation..
BUT remember, we Filipinos are kind hearted. This just happened at a rare stage.
Please do not think we are 'mean'

They Actually came to the scene with teargas but without gasmasks.

They practiced how they enter the bus 7-8 times yet they still fail.


But it's still my country  and I'm proud living in it
