See this is the problem though with forced-roleplay versus none forced-roleplay. I, for example, sometimes in a rush and try not to roleplay as much because I need to arrive at the destination. Yet, when I get pulled over, I try to be nice about it and roleplay if the cop seeks to roleplay rather just give out citations.

Part of the reason of what makes Argonath unique is the roleplay versus no roleplay which both are allowed. If one chooses to roleplay, they should roleplay rather then, "OMG I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!". Sometimes, I get myself in sticky situations where I get robbed, most of the time I hand some cash over and make sure the people who are robbing me that they don't kill me. After they leave, I try to still remain in the roleplay situation and call the police (if the phone isn't taken away, that is).

Either way, one party will not still not happy. We can NEVER make everyone happy, there will always be someone who will be against something, welcome to Argonath RPG, a world of it's own.

1. Those who say "Argonath is a freeroam server" - have no idea what is Freeroam...

Freeroam style accepts all types of game mode: DM, RPG, Stunt, etc ("do whatever you want")

Argonath does NOT accept Deathmatch... This statement is in rules, in admins laws and this is exactly why you report "dminger"...
So its funny how you report a "dminger" and the same time accuse Argonath being a freefoam mode server, cos in that case you are not logical either in reporting (why moan about dmer if it is freeroam?) or in accusations (why say its freeroam, if you know it is not?)... As admins have the clear law to punish the deathmatch there stays only two reasons - fake accusations against Argonath RPG or lack of knowledges what is freeroam?... If lack of knowledges, then why arguing and accuse?

2. Now about forced RP...

What is forced RP? where are the limits and boards of this action? On that questions there is one rule answer - respect other players...

What I mean?

Example not long time ago, when cop arrested two gvardia guys in SF and wanted to jail them in Dillimore... Passing.... SFPD... Crime? No... But... Players asked to jail them in SFPD, instead of going to DPD... And when cop did not stop, they left the car and went to SFPD... What did cop? Aimed a gun and demanded to get into his car to follow to Dillimore (all this accident was taking place... infron of the SFPD doors)... I warned a cop for his actions... Why? Forced RP...

In this case you can see that players did not want to follow to DPD but they did not refuse to be jailed... They live in San Fiero, they got arrested there, their mafia has a HQ there, they were passing SFPD which is much closer then DPD... Why not to respect their wish and not to finish jail in SFPD? Its clearly they wanted to finish it and not to continue a roleplay situation... And it is also did not offend the work of policeman...

Some of you will say - policeman is right... others will support my point of view... But the boards of forcing RP are not that clear... Because in this situation both sides can accuse each other in forcing...

Policeman - cos he wanted to jail them exact in DPD, gvardia criminals - cos they wanted to be jailed exact in SFPD...

Where are the limits and boards of rule? Simple - respect players and their time as well... If they do not brake the general rules (running after giving up, etc.) why not to take the decision which can fit both and not being stubborn?

The same position in the situation when suspect agrees to be jailed only in Mordor... If police department is not agree and puts you to the nearest department - why being a stubborn and demand the prison roleplay situation with the cops who do not want it?

Your problem, guys: you demand from other guys more then you demand from yourselves... No... I would say other way: your demands are the problem... As soon as you start demand from other player anything - comes the fight or scandal... Do not do that... there are rules, there is a team which judges according to rules, leave it to them... Otherwise you are acting like admins with no admins powers... You demand something, you do not get it... What is the next step? Correct - reporting to admin, if admin is not reacting - reporting the admin, if that also did not get an action - you start accusing Argonath, owners and the community, crying about how was nice one year ago...

What can prove my words? Simple thing... You did not have demands one year ago... And you liked the community and Argonath itself...

3. Admin does not react on report about newbie deathmatcher

Admin should NOT punish players just because they got a report on them... He must check out if the report was CORRECT... It is not a surprise that many of sa:mp players use reports for own personal dislikes and are trying to "punish" their personal offender...

If admin kicks/bans players with not seeing the rule broken and only on your report - you can tell me which admins are doing it and i will finish such practice very fast...

Regulars already know the rules of the server and have no right to break them, and any such seen from them is considered to be deliberate, which is why they we punish them harsher.

New players, on the other hand, have yet to learn. You never know, the freecop you requested copbanned yesterday could be the greatest Chief the ARPD has ever known 2 years from now.

Argonath is a Unique server, it gives you MANY things other servers DON'T !!

1- Main chat. NOANY Zomg l33t RP servers have a main chat, where you can talk to the whole server.

2- Free RP. Every other server forces rules that no one can follow... banned players there reach their MAXIMUM, cause of stupid rules like "NO METAGAMING" ... I got jailed for 120 minutes in a server for saying a guy's name ICly without knowing his name ... What kind of sick, closed-box-like server is that ?

3- Friends. This server helps you find friends you can talk to all the time ... I have most of my SA:MP friends on Argonath, actually ... ALL OF THEM !

4- Free choice of names. Argonath lets you choose any name you like ... ( except no numerical names ofc ) Almost ALL other RP servers force the FirstName_LastName formula...

CONCLUSION :

ARGONATH> OTHER SERVERS

Sorry to brake the words down, but infact... Argonath isn't a "serious rp server" as it is better known as today.. But a community with a large amount of great guys, RP'ers, chitchatters, friendly guys just wanna talk... Like we got it all, included the trolls and so on and so on... But seriously, I would never want that to change, and (hopefully) it won't either. As Gandalf said; "Maybe srs rp should become more like Argo" as a reply to "Maybe Argo should becomre more like srs rp".

solution,  show the /rules dialog box when someone registers   
if they break a rule then, warn them "read /rules"
if they keep doing it, kick/ban their ass
