They like to e-drama. The moaners can easily start an avalanche which changes the server atmosphere.
We should not let these things happen. They ought to get a temporary ban. If they don't chill in the mean time, this game isn't for them.

I find it funny how some people prefer to stand by Gandalf's words more as they are not comfortable with Aragorn's approach.

The major difference is that Aragorn tends to make direct statements in a straightforward manner out of righteous anger, whereas Gandalf is more lenient... sometimes even to the extent where people came to him for help, taking advantage of his leniency since they can't get their way with Aragorn.
 
And few things piss Aragorn off more than that.

I could just the same as you say people use Gandalf's leniency, I could say your only saying that because you agree with Aragorn or how his statements are.

You can't just start making it sound like Aragorn's words are more, which your virtually implying by almost downing Gandalf's words because he is nicer with his words. They are saying much the same thing, I am not going by Gandalfs words because he is 'more lenient' but because he is, but because I agree with how he does it. TBH I don't like how Aragorn expresses what he says, I'm sure he has reasons, just as I have reasons I don't like it. Not going to make an argument about how he does it, Its his choice how he expresses himself.

Can't handle the facts? Aragorn is just about the most straightforward person in the community, and he knows a threat when he sees one.
 
I stand by his words and by him because I can see as well that he is correct in his statements, not to mention that he is one of the people with whom my loyalty lies.
As a moderator, I work for him and Gandalf, not to mention they have my highest respect because without them, there is no prosperous Argonath.

For the discussion, guys.. You're seriously arguing about In Character / Out of Character.
These two things has gone so out of hands so it's barely impossible.
Just look at your answers from this page and nine pages back.
It's like you're fighting over I don't know what.

If people like to use IC/OOC, let them.
Frankly, if people do not enforce it on others, there would be no problemo.
Just respect every way of roleplaying and keep this e-drama for yourself.

I was all about trying to prove a point back in the days.
I was arguing like you guys do now, like four months ago.
After the time away from server, I've realized that all this complaining and whining destroys your own roleplay.
It takes away all the good parts that you experience every day.
My own mistake is that I usually gets quite out of hands sometimes, trying to explain that everyone should fit in my little circle, when it's basically me, who should fit in Argonath's sometimes.
Even though, both parts should really look at themselves, and figure out if this war is worth it..
Because in my opinion, there won't be any progress in this discussion, there are just the same statements going over and over.
The best thing might've been a lock of this topic, and just enjoy every roleplay-style that is available instead of complaining about them.

New players role playing in Argonath is like learning to ride a bike. Some people like to learn without any help at all but other people like to start off with training wheels (IC/OOC). Now there are some big boys in the neighborhood (conservatives), who are picking on smaller ones saying: " When I learned to ride a bike, I didn't have any training wheels, I am better than you."

But it doesn't matter how you ride the bike, the main thing is to get where you need to be. Now older kids (whole community) parents (Owners) have said to not pick on kids who use training wheels they will get rid of them if they feel like it.

You forgot about the part where the neighborhood isn't a place where people should import and distribute foreign training wheels.
 
IC/OOC is not just a style of roleplay, it is a (set of) RULE(s) from other servers.
Aragorn has already noted that point many times. Why the flying fuck is that so hard to understand?
