Ok guys another thing we need to discuses cash... It doesn't matter.

Today after all those lotto's someone said "This is going to cause Argonath's Inflation" Well who gives a crap. I spent 50k and SafteyMoose spent 50k so we could have a 100k DD. Point in this topic is that More people came because of the smile it put on their faces than to get a bunch of cash... so please don't monger it. Lets remember we come here for fun and if our goals are cash we should get a job.
Cash fades, trades, and is replaced. The Lessons and the fun we have can never be replaced.

I agree with the point you're making, however, it's nice to have the cash too.
It's not something I'd go ZOMG CASH all about, but nothing I'd go FUCK CASH HAVE IT. I just have it for the sake of having it.

My basic point is don't let the cash make you... I pay like 2k a day for Armour that's it.. so everything else is not necessary and I figure I will start handing it out..

Only thing is, when this topic is brought up a feud always starts between the "Cop's don't need money" subject.

Sure, it's true. Cop's don't spend nearly as much as Criminals do, but we still spend it.
Upon loosing my house and bizz, I have been limited on cash and it's been tough buying things like weapons and vehicles.

Hell, I haven't owned a house/bizz in 8 months and I still get around fine. But hey I'm and don't need it. /criticism.

Well i guess thats one way to see it. It's not about who needs it more and who has more of it it's about why we should focus on having fun and not being the richest, coolest, or best looking. With the shit that I am bringing ((Lol)) we should focus on fun.

It depends on the person, Some people are just more attracted to virtual money than others. Some people have goals on ArgonathRPG. If you play a long time here, I can understand that you would like to be rich. It's just a bit extra.

But the thing is, Don't let the money make you. As jimmy already said.

I spent over $80,000 on weapons, armour, protection, etc.

I spent over $400,000 on cars, paints, tunes, etc.

I donated over $1,800,000.

Anyway, at one point, while being on Argonath, I wanted to give up the "rich life" and go back to what I love, racing on my NRG and killing before getting killed first. You see, money is just an extra. Like ketchup with fries. It takes good, but you can live without it. I don't see the point of even having over $10,000,000 since the most you can purchase is a popular business and possibly one of the biggest sky-scrapers. Money =/= Fun. Fun=/= Money. You can have fun without being "rich". Take me for example. I now rent a room in the Gvardia Hotel, have a fully tuned Sultan and NRG and have over $80,000 worth of weapons/drugs/contraband stored. I have $160,000 in my bank and I don't plan on spending it. Sort of a safety-plan in-case shit goes down.

Actually, that someone was me, and it was more of "The inflation of the Argonath Community is gonna go INSANE with the trillions of dollars being pumped into it >.>". I have joked/toyed around with the idea of inflation and money being pumped into Argonath (I am aware of the limitations) many times before, as I was only referencing the idea of an actual real life economy and find it personally entertaining (maybe fun?) to reference real life events in a game. My point was not about money, it was simply, as I said, a reference. I don't care much about money myself, and poke fun at the people who do.

I will admit however, when I win a lotto or make a somewhat large sum of money, I have some fun because, hey, I won in a game of chance. When I loose money, I feel a slight sense of loss, but it's not like I'm gonna /q , go into a fit of rage, and then go online to plan a mass hack party when admins get off. I do not hunt for money, and I find Argonath fun in itself. Argo Dollars are a bunch of 010's on a hard drive on some server far away, I agree that one should not make their entire Argonath experience based around the fact of making a bunch of 010's.

Long ago when there was much less money going around, players organised events where those taking part had to pay an entry fee. Prizes and staff were paid from the entry fee, with the owner earning a little from the remaining money.
Lets see how many people will arrive now if they have to pay to take part...
